What Clients Are Saying

“Earl Christie is an absolute master of his craft! He creates such an open and relaxed environment to help ease the awkwardness that can sometimes be taking headshots! He made the entire experience extremely fun and knew exactly how to get the best photos possible! The only difficult part of the process was trying to decide which headshot to use! They were all AMAZING! I will absolutely be back the next time I need new headshots! ”

Lisa Joyce – Actor

“I hadn’t had new headshots done in several years after taking some time off from my performance life for a brief time until recently. I suddenly found myself needing them in a hurry this audition season! Earl was kind enough to offer an amazing deal for StageSource Audition season that included makeup and advice on which of my far too many outfit choices to use for the shoot. We spent about 30 minutes together for the actual shoot, and Earl was fabulous. He has a great sense of humor and really knew how to connect with me to get my range to show. I have a background in interactive and improvisational performance, and he knew exactly how to engage with me in a way that brought out my comedic streak as well as my more serious side. By the end I had several excellent shots to agonize over before I chose my favorite, and several beautifully done casual/comedic shots that just might end up on my website! Thank you, Earl. Your ability to connect with my personality and bring out exactly what I hoped to bring out in my headshot in a short period of time is such an admirable skill, and I will most definitely be back!

Carol Smolinsky – Actor, Teaching Artist

“Earl makes the photo shoot comfortable and fun, and comes up with a fantastic product.  The best photo shoot I’ve ever had!”

Krista River – Mezzo-Soprano

“There was a lot of chuckling. Also plenty of prompting that made me react, sometimes with a slight change of expression that changed everything. Does it sound too corny to say “Earl saw into my soul and captured glimpses of that in his photos?”

Brett Johnson – Voice Teacher, Baritone, Composer

“My favorite part of the shoot was the great direction that was given throughout the shoot. Earl was very specific; in the way in which to hold my body, to what emotions to convey in each photo. As an actor that’s what we dream of from a director, so that was a real treat.”

Christopher Pittman – Actor

“As the subject, I’ve got to put my trust in the photographer to create the headshot that I can use with confidence as my calling card. Not only does Earl know what he is doing, he is very, very good at doing it. I highly recommend him.”

Mabray Andrews – Actor, Voiceover Artist, Gospel Singer, Minister

“I’ve always felt vulnerable and uncomfortable in front of the camera, perhaps that’s why I am a stage actress.
From start to finish, Earl put me at ease with his easy-going, upbeat personality. Not only did he listen to my concerns about problem areas, he provided me with great insight to make a decision on what clothing would like great in front of the camera and capture the look I was going for. My proofs and the final finished product came back promptly after my shoot. I highly recommend Earl if you want a comfortable and professional headshot experience.”

Vanessa Lucero – Actor

“You will have fun and it will be worth every second because you will have a finished product that not only shows off your best look, but offers a glimpse into your heart and soul – the truest you.”

Mary Kaye – Actor, Career Coach, Public Speaker

“We went through some very different looks – two for LinkedIn and the other for my freelance performing, and Earl was able to create those two looks with a flick of a switch”

David McSweeney – Tenor, Systems Architect at iRobot

“I loved being able to see the photos right away. That was a first for me. I also loved hearing your opinions. There were photos I would have dismissed right away if it weren’t for your insight.”

Mala Bhattacharya – Singer, Actor, Voiceover Artist

“What a great experience I had having my headshots take with Earl Christie. From booking to receiving the final images and retouched image. When I arrived I was offered coffee or tea and had make up done while Earl finished photographing another person. By the time make up was completed Earl was ready to chat about what type of look and shot I needed. He started by asking about the type of roles and work in Theatre and film I usually get. He advised on colour palette for the clothing choices . Then it was time to take pictures. After a couple of test shots for colour & focus it was time. Earl gave great ideas to help you as a sitter give a particular look. I was able to see the digital images as they were taken to see where things were going and express what I liked and didn’t like. In the session I had we landed so many cool shots it was very hard to choose the one to be retouched. I highly recommend Earl Christie photography for great photos, quick turnaround and friendly positive atmosphere.”

Charlotte Dore, SAG/AFTRA, Actor/puppeteer/singer/writer

“Earl did a wonderful job of putting me at ease and he had a make-up and hair expert there to help me look my best. He took plenty of pictures and let me choose which ones I liked the best. All in all, I had a great time and got some great photos as well!”

Connell Benn – President Savoyard Light Opera,
Actor, Soprano

“It’s really hard to get me to smile – you got it to happen (and yes it IS my LinkedIn profile image).”
